As the firm’s Senior Director of AI Advisory Services, Mike serves as a subject matter authority on artificial intelligence and the law for both firm attorneys and clients.
Mike brings a quarter century of experience as a technology-focused attorney to his role at Husch Blackwell. After starting his career in private practice with a focus on intellectual property and technology licensing, he went in-house with Micro Focus in 2010 after which he joined Adobe in 2013. At Adobe, he served as lead product attorney for a number of Adobe’s digital media products and technical teams where he regularly handled legal matters involving artificial intelligence and became particularly involved with all aspects of AI and generative AI due to his longstanding work with Adobe’s research organization. During his tenure, Mike was a cornerstone of AI legal support at Adobe.
In 2025, he joined Husch Blackwell with the aim of leveraging both his legal background and his AI experience to benefit both the firm and its clients. His role includes contributing to the development of the firm’s internal AI technologies, as well as serving as a resource for attorneys presented with AI legal issues. Mike also directly supports clients, consulting on their questions about the deployment of AI technologies, AI governance, and AI compliance and regulatory matters.
Mike has been fascinated to have witnessed the rapid advances in AI over the past decade and is enthusiastic about AI’s role as an accelerant and its ability to transform and revolutionize businesses. One of the reasons he was drawn to Husch Blackwell is the way the firm has embraced the application of AI in the practice of law, using it to benefit both the firm and its clients while demonstrating its commitment to staying ahead of the curve when it comes to AI.
